The School Improvement Team of Clarence High School established the Academic Wall of Fame to honor former members of the school community who have achieved distinction through professional, civic, or humanitarian service.
Anyone may submit a nomination, provided the candidate meets certain eligibility requirements. Students are eligible for nomination ten years after graduation. Faculty, staff, administrators, school board members, and volunteers are eligible upon retirement. Individuals may be nominated for achievement in one of the three following categories:
- excellence in their chosen field;
- meritorious service to a humanitarian cause;
- a significant contribution to the community.
Nominations for induction to the Wall of Fame are accepted year round. Nominations received by the December 1 deadline will be considered for induction the following June. Nominations received after the deadline will be held for consideration the following year.
Potential candidates will be notified of their nomination and invited to submit a detailed resume. After reviewing applications, the selection committee will make a decision and publicly announce the names of the individuals chosen for induction. Up to three individuals may be inducted each year. Candidates not selected in their first year of nomination will remain in consideration for the following year.
Induction ceremonies will be held in conjunction with the Annual Senior Awards Night, typically held on the first Monday in June.
Nominations may be submitted by completing and submitting our nomination form.
