Clarence Central School District

Together We Make Learning A Way Of Life

The Clarence Central School District (CCSD) is contracted with five Community-Based Organizations to provide UPK services in the 2017-18 academic school year to eligible children. Two morning sessions and four midday/afternoon sessions are offered. The locations and their program times can be located on the providers page.
Eligible children are defined as those who live in the Clarence School District and whose fourth birthday falls between 12/2/16-12/1/17. Students will be placed by the District and will attend for 2½ hours, five (5) days a week for 180 days per school year, at no cost to families. Transportation is not provided and daily attendance is required. The UPK attendance calendar will parallel the Clarence Central School District instructional calendar with an expected start date of September 5, 2017.
A lottery will be used to choose children for the UPK Program. If your child is chosen for placement, you will receive a letter of acceptance which will include their placement and a District registration form. Your acceptance letter and required paperwork must be returned no later than April 28, 2017. If you do not have a child currently enrolled in one of our District schools, you will need to provide proof of residency. Children not initially placed will be kept on a waiting list.
Although we cannot guarantee your preference will be met, please indicate the preschool agencies in order of preference (Rank 1-6). An agency that provides a wrap-around care offers child care services before and after the UPK session for a fee (see individual location for more information).
