    By

During each school year, the school nurses conduct health screenings of students per state law mandates. The health screenings include the following:

    • Vision screening for distance acuity in grades Kindergarten, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7 and 10
    • Hearing screening for all students new to the district and in grades K, 1, 3, 5, 7 and 10.
    • Scoliosis screening (curvature of the spine) for students in grades 5-9
    • Students new to the district will be screened for vision (near and far), hearing & color perception.

Parents/guardians are notified of any abnormalities and are asked to follow up with the family physician.
