The Clarence High School Band Program is comprised of weekly small group lessons and daily band rehearsals, which take place during the school day.
Lessons are arranged to provide flexibility so students miss as little class time as possible. Whether on a posted rotating schedule or in a sign up format, students should not miss the same class period more than two times in any marking period, and may even be able to schedule their lessons during lunches and study halls.
Bands are ability based groups, whose membership is determined by audition. The Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble rehearse daily, and each gives at least three public performances per year. The high school also has a Jazz Ensemble - an extra-curricular ensemble that rehearses outside of the school day. The Jazz Ensemble gives several performances throughout the year.
